Position available for a CNC Programmer/setter/operator looking to join a growing company dedicated to training and developing your skills based in the West Midlands
Thisis a stable and growing business offering its staff flexibility, good working conditions, overtime, varied work and on the job training.
As a CNC programmer, you will be responsible for mainly online programming, setting and operating sliding head and some fixed head machines. You will be required to machine a wide and varied range of components, in various materials, which cover an array of industries / sectors.
Here is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced programmer to work in a good stable company whilst doing interesting work.
The Role:
*CNC Programmer/setter/operator*Working Days 8am-5.00pm (Friday 1.00pm)*Training available (For the right candidate)*16.00-18.50per hour (overtime in busy periods)
The Person:
*Eligible to work in the UK*A CNC Programmer/setter/operator*Experience in sliding head turning essential with some fixed head experience
*Experience with Star machines*Looking for training, Overtime, or just to work with a good progressive company

* Working from drawings
* Use of power tools
* Use of hand tools


As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:

* Carpentry skills (Essential)

* Numerate & Literate( Essential)
* Perform manual labour tasks (Essential)
* Competent to work with hand tools (Essential)
* Must have own tools and a proven history of previous Carpentry work

£12.50 per hour
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 08:00 to 16:30
It is anticipated that you will have at least 3 years reference from a previous employer that you can provide us with in order to be considered.
We are offering a 12 week temporary to permanent role for the right candidate.
Job duties
• Bespoke joinery
• Working independently to produce, timber curtain walling components, windows, doors, staircases and furniture
• Using various different machines such as hand tools, battery operated tools and traditional woodworking machines
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
• Manual handling of materials
Attributes
• Excellent communication skills
• A good team player
• Willingness to learn
• Excellent time keeping, safety awareness and housekeeping
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Relevant experience in all aspects of joinery, especially architectural work
• The ability to be able to manage their time and work to a schedule
• Must have the ability to read and understand technical drawings
Own tools including battery operated tools are required. All other tools and machinery are provided.
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 08:00 to 16:30
11 - 12.50 (Dependent on experience) +Overtime
