An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Training Engineer, specialising in providing teaching and guidance in the field of Electrical Engineering, ideally with experience of Automotive/Electric Vehicles (EV), to join an established, cohesive team of Trainers and Technical Consultants.
Ambitions to develop professionally within the area of Learning and Development will be encouraged and supported for any suitably qualified candidates applying from an Electrical Engineering background.

Post Title: Training Engineer
Responsible To: Director
Salary: Competitive, negotiable on experience (C. 30,000 - 40,000 per annum)
Location: Redditch

As the Training Engineer, you'll need to:
• Devise technical training programs according to organisational requirements.
• Produce training schedules and classroom agenda.
• Determine course content according to objectives.
• Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets, exercises etc).
• Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually.
• Execute training sessions at premises or at customers sites, within the UK and globally
• Complete delegate competency assessments individually or as part of a group.
• Comply with equality and diversity policy.
• Be aware and identify any issues relating to delegate safeguarding.
• Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues etc.
• Observe and evaluate results of training programs.
• Determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements.
• Develop courses in readiness for external accreditation.
• Comply with quality procedures to ISO 9001.
• Comply with external quality assurance procedures and requirements for course accreditations.

You will need to have:
• Electrical engineering knowledge educated to HNC, HND or Degree Level.
• Teaching competencies or qualifications, or the ability to work towards these.
• Experience working within electrical engineering or automotive sector.
• Be a member of or working towards membership of a registered institute (IET etc)
• Have a full UK or international driving licence.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other commonly used office packages
• The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
• Good teamworking skills and the confidence to lead and motivate a team
• The ability to manage your own workload
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
• A problem-solving approach to work

A well-established global leading service provider of flight critical precision forged and machined components are looking for an Experienced CNC toolsetter with manual milling experience
Experienced with Mazak and Fanuc controls

Uses computer software to find and print correct revision Tool Set-up sheets for jobs.
Follows Tool Set-up sheet (SOP) to obtain tools from Tool Vending system.
Verifies correct tools are received per tool sheet.
Uses hand tools (such as torque wrenches) and Heat Shrink machine to remove and secure cutting tools that need to be replaced.
Identifies which tools are to be ran again per the tool sheet (SOP).
Works with tooling supplier to ensure continuous flow of tools, replacing any damaged tool bodies.
Uses calipers and height gages to set tool lengths in various tool holders.
Uses Heat Shrink machine and various torque wrenches to secure tools in holders.
Uses computerized Measuring machines as well as precision measuring tools to verify a multitude of various dimensions.
Label tools with RFID chip writer
Verifies all tools meet the dimensions and quantities per part on the SOP.
Communicates well with programmers, Engineers, Peers, and Management the changes and obstacles necessary to perform the preset functions.
Maintains a clean and safe work space.
Works well as a team player in a fast paced environment
* Eye sight test to company standard is pre requisite.
* Previous use of inspection equipment.
* Quality/inspection awareness and understanding is essential.
* Flexibility due to work demands will be required.
* Good dexterity and manual skills
* Good level of literacy and numeracy is required as the training and quality standards are very in depth and specific.
* Fork lift truck licence
* Hands on with can do attitude

The Role

As CNC Operator you will be accountable for setting up and operating 5 axis CNC Mill Machines, Manual vertical/horizontal Lathes. Inspection and acceptable quality standards being achieved manufacturing of complex components.

Responsibilities will include:

Operating CNC milling machines (FANUC or Mazatrol controls)
Setting up fixtures, tooling and programmes
Running machines as per SOPs and instruction
Quality control, & inspection of parts
Able to read and understand engineering drawings


The successful candidate for the CNC Operators position will have the following:

Experience of programming - Desirable
2 - 3 years' experience working with in an aerospace environment - Desirable
Experience with CNC machine tools (FANUC or Mazatrol controls)

Hours: Mon-Thurs 8pm till 6am nights

Day to day duties will be :

Prepping and preparing walls
Sanding and taping off work area
Prepping and preparing Doors
Painting gloss
Painting emulsion
Working from heights on a cherry picker

What skills are needed for this position :

Previous experience of painting
Previous experience of sanding
Experience of using brushes and rollers
Cherry picker licence would be and advantage but full training will be given
