Job Title: TIG Welder / Fabricator
Salary : 18.00 ph
Area : Coventry
* TIG Welding / Fabrication on Aluminium welding up to 100M when required * Able to understand engineering drawings, work plans & visual aids * High standards of work and a good eye for detail. * Support and input into the development of welding processes and tooling/fixture design * Support and input into the selection of welding equipment and tooling * A good understanding of Health & Safety in a factory / manufacturing environment, with particular regard to PPE. * Maintenance of equipment to a high standard * Flexible to work in other areas of the business as required * Primarily day shift, but has the flexibility to work on a variety of shifts in line with business demands
* previous experience using a welding foot pedal * experience welding and fabricating with Aluminium * Formal Welding Qualification (ideally) * Create quality welds according to BS EN5817 * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings * Ability to read and understand geometric tolerances * A positive, can-do attitude * must have 2-3 years' experience in a similar role

The role You will be part of a 3 man team working a 3 shift rota. On your team will be an Electrician, Effluent Engineer and yourself the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. You will be tasked to carry out preventative maintenance tasks as well as be reactive with regard plant breakdowns and repairs. All actions need to be carried out in a safe and professional manor, reporting to supervisors and filling out daily shift reports and other necessary paperwork.
General Scope of work 1. Work on Hydraulic systems 2. Work on Pneumatic systems 3. General welding and fabrication 4. Oxygen/acetylene burning 5. Bench fitting 6. Fork lift/cherry picker/OHC operation
Experience Required Completed Apprenticeship/time served would be preferred. Heavy Industrial work. Experience Slitting/Decoiling would be an advantage.

You will also be required to carry out Installation work on machinery and with the factory and any maintenance work on bay lighting and other electrical services. All actions need to be carried out in a safe and professional manor, reporting to supervisors and filling out daily shift reports and other necessary paperwork.
General Scope of work 1. Installation work on both factory and process machinery. 2. Fault find on 415v, 240v, 110v and 24vac and dc systems. 3. Follow CCT diagrams to aid fault finding. 4. PLC, establish necessary input/output (no program facility) 5. Fault find on OHC's, Remote handsets, contactor function, fuses. 6. DC drives/inverters basic knowledge would be an advantage. 7. Maintain high bay lighting replacement, repair and LED upgrade. 8. Test emergency lighting and evacuation alarm system. 9. Involved in CCT design and control panel building.
