Located in a fast paced production plant, the Multi-Skilled Engineer will be an integral part of the maintenance department whom have the overall responsibility of ensuring the efficient running of the production plant is achieved through the sound running of the plant machinery. You will carry out maintenance as directed, both planned and preventative, to assist the production plant can achieve and output which meets the demands of the customer and in accordance with the Company Quality Systems. Working in an efficient and safe manner you will add to the overall productivity and profitability of the Company.

Carry out planned and preventative maintenance as directed • Diagnose equipment faults and repair as required. Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner as directed in order to minimise machine downtime • Carry out the installation of new equipment as required • Correctly identify replacement and new parts required • Maintain all maintenance records and accurately record information onto the CMMS system • Ensure that records for the department are recorded accurately and in a timely manner • Ensure that all processes, Health and Safety and Environmental procedures are adhered to and that required quality standards are met in full enduring documentation is completed appropriately • Liaise with supervisors to prioritise workload as required • Attend to out of hours calls as required • Control external contractors as required ensuring that all contractors have received a Health and Safety brief and standards are adhered to whilst on site • Issue and control permits to work as required • Instigate and contribute to continuous improvement activities • Maintain a safe working environment for you and others, ensuring that Company and regulatory standards are achieved at all times • This list is not exhaustive. Essential: • Apprenticeship served in an engineering discipline • Formal engineering qualification, ONC etc • BS7671 17th Edition trained • Proven multi-skilled in at least two disciplines • Proven electrical fault diagnosis • Good written and verbal communication skills • Computer literate in computerised maintenance man
A day shift position has become available for an experienced Maintenance Technician / Engineer within a Bidford manufacturing company.
Day to Day duties will include the following: * Working closely with production, maintenance and engineering team on improving equipment availability * Conduct regular and scheduled preventive maintenance activities including all safety checks * Respond to machine and tool breakdowns to minimise plant downtime * Generate engineering change orders (ECO's) and progress through to implementation * Support equipment installation, commissioning and validation * Procure and maintain spares lists for all equipment, dealing with suppliers * Carry out specific projects as directed by the plant manager
As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
* Self-starter with a real bias towards action and sense of urgency (Essential) * Flexible working hours (Essential) * Well organised with a structured and logical approach to problem solving (Essential) Qualifications and Skills: * Experience within the Food / Medical manufacturing environment, FDA, ISO14001 (Desirable) * Maintenance of PGM, spark erosion, heat treatment and cleaning machinery etc. (Desirable) * Minimum of 3 years' experience within a maintenance / toolroom environment (Essential) * Time served Apprenticeship in either an electrical or mechanical discipline (Essential) * Able to work in a clean room (Desirable)

Job Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, enthusiastic individual to join the Engineering department for a market-leader in the FMCG industry, based in Warwickshire The successful candidate will be responsible for proactive and reactive maintenance tasks around the site, supporting the Maintenance Manager in the day-to-day maintenance of the production and distribution facilities. This involves attending to both mechanical and electrical faults/breakdowns on various items of plant and machinery, e.g. conveyors; mechanical stripping down, rebuilding, servicing and overhauls etc, including replacing motors, gearboxes, belts, bearings and rollers.
The candidate will need to be self-motivated, able to work on their own initiative, and a team player; an outstanding communicator, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to proactively focus on delivering the best solutions for the maintenance of our facility.
Ideally the candidate should be electrically qualified with both mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills and prior experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
Required: • Formal Electrical Qualification/Apprenticeship, • Mechanical aptitude • Able to read both mechanical and electrical schematic drawings • Good knowledge of AC motors, inverter drives, PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers) and sensors
