• To weld a variety of production parts and maintain stock levels to ensure the uninterrupted flow of assembly processes.
Key Accountabilities (What the job role is accountable for to include basic duties that the job holder will be required to undertake)

• To Produce High Quality Welded Assemblies in a timely and safety conscious way.
• Working to drawings and within Fixtures with a variety of materials I.E Mild Steel, Aluminium and Stainless Steel.
• To Follow Weld procedure's.
• Working independently or as part of a team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

* Part of an 8 person fabrication team working for a SME engineering company
* Flexibility and a positive attitude are highly rated
* The principle job activity is the fabrication / sheet metalwork
* Food conveyor manufacture and access platforms.
* Materials predominantly stainless steels and mild steels in thicknesses ranging from 1mm to 20mm Another key element of the job is the site installations of the systems we manufacture
* Some weekend availability will be required.

CANDIDATE:

* Highly skilled apprentice trained fabricator / sheet metalworker
* Read engineering drawings cope with varied jobs and materials.
* 4 years industry experience will have the required skill level
* Candidate should be able to work on their own initiative.
* Experience of conveyor systems and associated equipment, including platforms & walkways and or automation systems.
* Food industry experience and site installation experience advantageous.
* Valid UK driver's license.

A well-established global leading service provider of flight critical precision forged and machined components are looking for an Experienced CNC toolsetter with manual milling experience
Experienced with Mazak and Fanuc controls

Uses computer software to find and print correct revision Tool Set-up sheets for jobs.
Follows Tool Set-up sheet (SOP) to obtain tools from Tool Vending system.
Verifies correct tools are received per tool sheet.
Uses hand tools (such as torque wrenches) and Heat Shrink machine to remove and secure cutting tools that need to be replaced.
Identifies which tools are to be ran again per the tool sheet (SOP).
Works with tooling supplier to ensure continuous flow of tools, replacing any damaged tool bodies.
Uses calipers and height gages to set tool lengths in various tool holders.
Uses Heat Shrink machine and various torque wrenches to secure tools in holders.
Uses computerized Measuring machines as well as precision measuring tools to verify a multitude of various dimensions.
Label tools with RFID chip writer
Verifies all tools meet the dimensions and quantities per part on the SOP.
Communicates well with programmers, Engineers, Peers, and Management the changes and obstacles necessary to perform the preset functions.
Maintains a clean and safe work space.
Works well as a team player in a fast paced environment
* Eye sight test to company standard is pre requisite.
* Previous use of inspection equipment.
* Quality/inspection awareness and understanding is essential.
* Flexibility due to work demands will be required.
* Good dexterity and manual skills
* Good level of literacy and numeracy is required as the training and quality standards are very in depth and specific.
* Fork lift truck licence
* Hands on with can do attitude

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assembly, test & despatch of spare parts to customers when required.
To ensure the level of quality is maintained through the production process of assembling products used in safety critical environments.
Build Sub-Assemblies for use in upstream processes, working as a supportive and active team member within the department.
Preparation of parts for paint-shop, fault identification & rectification using a variety of engineering and manufacturing skills.
Product testing to confirm performance & satisfy legal / company requirements.
Final assembly and finishing in preparation for shipment.
To assist in the review and update (where necessary) of all work instructions and procedures.

Requirements:

Experience of working in a mechanical assembly or engineering environment
A sound working knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings as well as interpret technical data
Knowledge in performing manufacturing operations
An understanding of COSHH and risk assessments
Knowledge of 6S and 8D problem solving techniques
Experience of improving standard operating procedures
Ability to operate engineering measurement equipment
Good numeracy & literary skills
Skills in fly presses, various hand tools and lifting equipment, soldering, dressing, welding, lubrication & machining
