As the Training Engineer, you'll need to:
• Devise technical training programs according to organisational requirements.
• Produce training schedules and classroom agenda.
• Determine course content according to objectives.
• Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets, exercises etc).
• Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually.
• Execute training sessions at premises or at customers sites, within the UK and globally
• Complete delegate competency assessments individually or as part of a group.
• Comply with equality and diversity policy.
• Be aware and identify any issues relating to delegate safeguarding.
• Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues etc.
• Observe and evaluate results of training programs.
• Determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements.
• Develop courses in readiness for external accreditation.
• Comply with quality procedures to ISO 9001.
• Comply with external quality assurance procedures and requirements for course accreditations.

You will need to have:
• Electrical engineering knowledge educated to HNC, HND or Degree Level.

• Be a member of or working towards membership of a registered institute (IET etc)
• Have a full UK or international driving licence.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience listed below:-

The supervision of a mechanical maintenance team involving preventative and reactive maintenance work in an industrial production orientated environment.
The experience of dealing with various types of mechanical equipment in an industrial environment. E.g. gearboxes, pumps, mechanical seals, pipework etc.
The use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and other standard computer software.
The ability to mentor and train staff when/where required.
The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works.

Qualifications/Training

You will need to have a recognised mechanical apprenticeship and educated to ONC or City and Guilds level 3 (RQF level 3) in Mechanical Fitting/Engineering as a minimum.
You should have a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance environment.
Responsibilities:
• You will administer of all your activities, including time-registration and the returns of defect modules;
• You will transfer the defect modules to the repair department;
• You will localise defect modules and solve a malfunction quickly and professional;
• Study technical manuals and attend training sessions provided to maintain current knowledge;
• Maintain inventory of parts issued;
• Respond to the customer's unscheduled events in a rapid & efficient manner;
• Service/Rectifying faults;
• Fault find, diagnose and repair customer machines on site;

• Inspection, Testing and certification in compliance with 18th edition wiring regulations;
• PAT Testing;
• possible and reporting any difficulties encountered to the Resource Controller and /or Foreman;

• Undertake all work efficiently and cost effectively, minimising non-productive time wherever;
• You may be asked to undertake some Multi Skilled tasks including tiling, building, general operative duties as and when required;
• Completing works within commercial and domestic properties;

• Report all accidents, incidents and near misses;
• Completing rewires throughout the property.
Requirements:
• 18th Edition;
• City and Guilds 2394 -Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations, and;
• Has completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship;
• City & Guilds 2391-10 or 2394/5 in inspection and testing qualification, or equivalent;
• Preferred qualification in Portable Appliance Testing;
• You must have an understanding of H&S in the workplace;
• PASMA;
• The conformance of all equipment to existing and new electrical standards;
• PASMA / IPAF (Desirable);
• Portable Appliance Testing;

• ECS Gold Card;
• Own tools, test equipment and PPE
The role:
• Upholstery of bespoke chairs and beds
• Use of hand tools such as staple guns and drills.
• Working to tight deadlines.
• General housekeeping of work area.
Skills and Experience:
• The ability to produce a good quality product with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to use own initiative and work quickly to meet production deadlines..
• 1-2 years previous experience in the Upholstery Industry in a similar role is essential.

Hours:08:00am - 16:30pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Field Service Engineer to join a small, but consistent team of highly knowledgeable Service Engineers, based from their workshop in Birmingham.

Our client provides regular servicing for all types of electrical equipment and motors, with particular emphasis on compressors, generators and pumps, using both DC and AC motors. A regular maintenance scheme ensures that the equipment is safe and is working to its maximum efficiency. A regular service contract ensures that the mean time between failure rates is kept as low as possible and it can avoid costly disruption to production.

Join this excellent team and you will be responsible for maintaining, repair and servicing a range of contracts at customer locations with minimal supervision. Providing first-class customer support and reports on the condition and repairs carried out, you won't just focus on the wires, nuts, and bolts.

Required:

• NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or similar.
• 17th/18th Edition
• A full UK driving license
• GCSE or equivalent - English and Maths.

About you:

• Experience of having worked as a Service Engineer or in a field-based technical support role would be a distinct advantage (although not essential.)
