MATERIAL PLANNER

HOURS: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am - 1:30pm
LOCATION: Greater Redditch Area
SALARY: C. 25K Per annum
HOLIDAYS: 25 day plus 8 bank holidays

Job Brief
We are seeking a self-motivated, highly energetic Material Planner. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must have SAP experience and excellent written and communication skills. The candidate will be responsible for planning and monitoring the materials for the manufacturing function across all streams of the business. They must have sound planning and computer skills, with a can-do attitude. The candidate will need to be able to work well under pressure and be able to balance their priorities.

Main Duties
• Using SAP to track production orders and ensure parts from various departments come together for the required dispatch date
• Responsible for planning and monitoring the materials and products that are manufactured.
• Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments
• Review and distribute production work schedules and move requirements.
• Conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates
• Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labour or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions,
• Communicate effectively and regularly with other with Sales to ensure customer needs are met.
• Develop and communicate weekly and daily manufacturing schedules

Attributes
• All round computer skills Microsoft package and a good working knowledge of SAP essential.

Job Title: CNC Turner Machinist
Location: Walsall
Controls: Fanuc
Shift: Days, 39 hour working week (7.30am - 4.30pm Mon-Thurs, 7.30am - 12.30pm Fri) Overtime readily available.

An established precision machining company working within oil & gas and other sectors is currently recruiting for a CNC TURNER to join the team.

Require a CNC turner setter/operator to assist in the busy turning section.

As a CNC Turner Engineer, you have ideally have:

• A time served machining apprenticeship
• Experience on Fanuc (G-Code) controls to assist in running our turning section
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Ability to inspect on work using verniers and callipers etc.


Day to day duties will include the following:

• Qualifications: Time served apprentice at level 3, ONC or equivalent
• Working within Sub-con precision machine shop.
• Willingness to help the team to achieve good efficiencies.
• Ability to work unsupervised and part of a team.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing.
• Programming experience would be an advantage.

The telecoms team has an overall telecoms manager, Design project co-ordinator, Survey co-ordinator, 5 CAD Technicians, Structural design engineer, Electrical design engineer and admin support
What is a typical project
Typical projects will involve producing Planning general arrangement drawings for proposed mobile telecoms installations and also produce detailed design drawings which will involve producing detailed equipment and electrical schematics as well completing steelwork, concrete and general civil / structural engineering elements within the drawings. Deadlines are extremely tight in telecoms so a clear understanding of the work being undertaken and expected due dates are imperative
What does a typical day look like
The CAD techs work to a weekly programme of sites which will be on a variety of different client projects. A briefing meeting is held daily with the telecoms manager and also support meetings throughout the day to ensure client timescales are met
Experience required - Min 2-3 years woking on Autocad expected and a knowledge of detailing essential. Preferable if has experience in the telecoms industry.
-Antenna's, sataelite dishes, 5g requirements on size and how antennas are placed - go out and understand requirements of radio designers
-Develop steelwork structures that hold them in place
-CAD- plan drawings, design, eg concrete and steelwork detailing
-Decide if right antenna, cabling
-Infrastructure complicated with 5g
-Steelwork supports and eg want 6 metres above roof level
-If someone with telecoms exp- needs to be recent as the industry moves so quickly
-Telecoms can train industry experience not vital- need autocad and detailing experience minimum then comes down to right personality fit
-Could be structural concrete and steel

Job Description - Maintenance Fitter Engineer

The qualifications and experience we require for a fitter is below
1)Power Press fitting experience (10 Tons up to 160 Ton Power presses - C. Frame, Hydraulic. Double Action, Bruderer, Minster, Roos & Langli) including the ability to work to drawings.
2)To carry out preventative maintenance in line with agreed maintenance schedules, i
3)General machine fitting and repairs.
4)Strong Mechanical aptitude with a good eye for detail.
5)Hydraulic fitting diagnosis and repair experience and knowledge including the reading of schematics and diagrams.
6)Pneumatic experience in fault find install and maintenance again including the ability to work off drawings.
7)Steel fabrication and the qualification in either MIG, TIG, or ARC welding. Brazing would also be beneficial.
8)The ability to work safe within present regulation.
9)The ability to work off own initiative or in a group.
10)Production of recognised qualifications and or certifications.
11)References on request.
12)Must have good understanding of English (written & verbal).
13)Must have a Can do attitude.
14)Must adhere to all company PPE and H&S policies at all times.
15)Must be a good time keeper and willing to work overtime, when required.
16)Electrical knowledge would be advantageous but not essential.

The Role:
As Metrology Engineer you will be accountable for driving consistent standards and performance improvements through rigorously defining inspection criteria, working on new product introduction and continuous improvements.

Responsibilities will include:
* CMM programming and inspection techniques
* First article evaluations and reporting, including the utilisation of IPI Visual FAIR software
* New product introduction evaluation to internal and external specification
* Participating in site wide metrology activates to further business needs
* Improve production evaluation, gauges, Vernon columns, HMI and implementation of new evaluation technologies
* Monitor CMM capacity and support dimensional evaluations

Requirements:
* HNC or equivalent within an engineering discipline
* PCDMIS and/or Mitutoyo programming experience
* Competence or willingness to learn IPI Visual FAIR
