The supervision of a mechanical maintenance team involving preventative and reactive maintenance work in an industrial production orientated environment.
The experience of dealing with various types of mechanical equipment in an industrial environment. E.g. gearboxes, pumps, mechanical seals, pipework etc.
The use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and other standard computer software.
The ability to mentor and train staff when/where required.
The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works.
Work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systems.
Qualifications/Training

You will need to have a recognised mechanical apprenticeship and educated to ONC or City and Guilds level 3 (RQF level 3) in Mechanical Fitting/Engineering as a minimum.
You should have a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance environment.
Responsibilities:
• You will administer of all your activities, including time-registration and the returns of defect modules;
• You will transfer the defect modules to the repair department;
• You will localise defect modules and solve a malfunction quickly and professional;
• Study technical manuals and attend training sessions provided to maintain current knowledge;
• Maintain inventory of parts issued;
• Respond to the customer's unscheduled events in a rapid & efficient manner;
• Service/Rectifying faults;
• Fault find, diagnose and repair customer machines on site;
• Ensuring that customers receive the highest levels of customer service at all times;
• Attending and positively contributing to all training required;
• Planning and organising of own time to maximise customer facing time;
• To ensure compliance with Sustainability Processes, Quality Management System, Safety Procedures and Accountancy Policies;
• Pro-actively participating in the full development lifecycle;
• Providing a timely, polite and efficient service.
Requirements:
• Understanding of PLC's control systems;
• have a hands-on approach;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• have a good understanding of general IT equipment including general PC skills;
• Core level of mechanical skills and understanding will be required;
• Ability to relay clear instructions to clients;
• Good eye for detail;
• Planning skills;
• Customer service experience;
• Team-working Skills.

Qualifications/Training

You will need to have a recognised electrical apprenticeship and educated to City and Guilds level 3 (RQF level 3) in an Electrical discipline as a minimum.
18th edition electrical wiring regulations.
Ideally you would have a CompEx (Ex01-04) & (Ex05-06) qualification but this is not a necessity.
Ideally you would also have training with MEWPs.
A position has become available for an experienced mechanical fitter that has experience working with construction plant machinery.



Day to Day duties will include the following:

Building and modifying machinery from drawings

*Using hand tools air tools
*working on one off project's on your own and part of a team
*working to deadlines and putting in the extra

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:

* 2 years' experience as a mechanical fitter with a proven back round (essential)
* must be able to work from engineering drawings (essential)

A day shift position has become available for an experienced Maintenance Technician / Engineer within a Bidford manufacturing company.

Day to Day duties will include the following:
* Working closely with production, maintenance and engineering team on improving equipment availability
* Conduct regular and scheduled preventive maintenance activities including all safety checks
* Respond to machine and tool breakdowns to minimise plant downtime
* Generate engineering change orders (ECO's) and progress through to implementation
* Support equipment installation, commissioning and validation
* Procure and maintain spares lists for all equipment, dealing with suppliers
* Carry out specific projects as directed by the plant manager

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:

* Self-starter with a real bias towards action and sense of urgency (Essential)

Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience within the Food / Medical manufacturing environment, FDA, ISO14001 (Desirable)
* Maintenance of PGM, spark erosion, heat treatment and cleaning machinery etc. (Desirable)
* Minimum of 3 years' experience within a maintenance / toolroom environment (Essential)
* Time served Apprenticeship in either an electrical or mechanical discipline (Essential)
* Able to work in a clean room (Desirable)

You will be part of a 3 man team working a 3 shift rota. On your team will be you, a Mechanical fitter, Effluent Engineer and an Electrician. You will be tasked to carry out preventative maintenance tasks as well as be reactive with regard plant breakdowns and repairs.
Should be experienced in heavy process equipment i.e.
Slitting machines, decoiling machines, steel industry etc.
Will be able to carry out routine maintenance procedures fault diagnosis,
breakdowns and repair work including working to manufacturer's
manuals/drawings.

Skills involved will include fitting, machining, welding, burning and
knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Should be able to work under their own initiative with strong
communication skills.
